What is AFCAT?
The Air Force Common Admission Test ( AFCAT ) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Air Force ( IAF ) for recruiting candidates into various branches of the Air Force, including the Flying Branch, Ground Duty ( Technical ), and Ground Duty ( Non-Technical ) branches.
AFCAT 2025 is an excellent opportunity for young aspirants to serve the nation as officers in the Indian Air Force. The exam is conducted twice a year, in February and August/September.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality : Candidates must be citizens of India.
Age Limit :
- Flying Branch : 20 to 24 years as of the cutoff date ( upper age limit relaxable up to 26 years for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA ).
- Ground Duty ( Technical & Non-Technical ) : 20 to 26 years as of the cutoff date.
Educational Qualifications :
- Flying Branch : Minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level and a graduation
- degree with at least 60% marks or equivalent.
- Ground Duty ( Technical ) : A degree in Engineering with at least 60% marks.
- Ground Duty ( Non-Technical ) : A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks.
